Occupational & Environmental Medicine

What is Occupational and Environmental Medicine?

The Occupational and Environmental Medicine provides consultation, diagnosis, treatment and prevention for patients and their families with injuries, illnesses, exposures or health concerns related to their workplace, community or home.

Our doctors perform in-depth expert consultation for disability and treatment of work-related injury and illness under workers compensation. Conditions diagnosed and treated include respiratory problems, asthma, asbestosis, chemical exposure, mesothelioma and lung cancer.

Additionally, the Occupational and Environmental Medicine program staff examines medical records and documents to determine whether occupational or environmental hazards led to injury or disease.
